Don Augusto teaches History of Islam at the Theological Faculty, at the ISSR of Turin and at the Pontifical Salesian University; he is co-founder and director of the Centro Federico Peirone for Islamic-Christian dialogue in Turin and consultor of the Commission for Islam of the Department Ecumenism and Dialogue of the CEI. Among his publications I matrimoni cristiano-islamici in Italia (2008), Islam (2007), I musulmani in Piemonte (2005).
